The folks at ITV Ventures™ have been receiving a number of enquiries from customers about the NakedMineral™ brushes (which are included with both the Fundamentals Collection as well as the Supreme Collection) and how to properly care for them.
Our collections’ brushes are spa quality brushes, which have been hand-made with high grade Capra hair.
It is common for high quality brushes to lose some hairs while being primed, so you should not be concerned. This is normal with all handmade quality brushes (especially kabuki brushes)
Here is how you should prime your brushes: When you first receive your brush, make sure you swirl the brush around in circles inside the palm of your hand several times. This might take up to 4 or 5 times or until you have released the loose hairs.
The brushes are not shedding. The technical definition of a shedding brush is one that continues to have hairs fall out until there are none left. Remember these brushes are made by hand - not by a machine. Naked Minerals™ brushes use only the natural tips of the hairs – while a machine-made brush cuts the natural tips off. These natural tips are what give your skin that beautiful ‘air brushed’ look and such brushes are the brushes of choice by leading makeup artists. So rest assured – and continue getting naked with Naked Minerals™ from ITV Ventures™.
